Hey Lisa & Bryant. I am so glad to hear everything is going so well with Mattie now. I haven't got on the site in so long, I was so happy to see it was still up. I am still taking pictures as because of your story I have refered someone I have photographed to the doc, and to your site. A little girl, age 2. She had one white eye, like Mattie did, just not as severely noticable as his. She went to the doc and everything was fine. THANK GOD! I just wanted to tell you this, to let you know how well your story has helped others! Hope all is well with you all! I still pray for MAttie, and you guys!

I was doing research on my Great Grandmother Mattie Mayo Folk McAdams and ran across your family story. My prayers are with you...I know that we are related some where down the line but I just wanted to tell you that I have you in my prayers.

I'm a friend of Julie's. We've prayed for Mattie every since she told us about him. We put an RB poster and brochures in my daughter's school. Hopefully, people will become more aware and, because of Mattie, insist on the right tests for their child. Hope you're all doing well!

My daughter Lexie was diagnosed on Jan 25th '07. She is now 14mths old. On Feb. 13, 2007, her right eye was removed. We had her procedure in Houston, Texas at M D Anderson. She is doing great right now. Maybe a little of balance on the walking, but we are all adjusting. Lexie still had vision in her eye. The tumor was advanced and chemo was only a 30% chance of saving the eye and stopping the spread of the cancer. We do not have the pathology report back yet, but the doctor is 98% sure that removing the eye got all of it out of her body. I pray to God he's right. Little Mattie is so very handsome. It is stories like yours that lets me know my lil' angel is going to be O.K. It gives me great hope.... to hear how well he is doing now. Thank you for sharing your story.
